| If you like 10k/sec plus downloads and small lag when gaming, Multi-Link might be for you. Multi-Link uses two modems and two phone lines to double your dial-up speed. In many cases, this can be the difference between fragging and being fragged. Plus, you can count on downloads going much faster.
What you need for Multi-Link:
- Two modems: Be sure that these modems are compatible for Multi-Link or Shotgun. (For better results, use ISA modems. No one needs to multiply the problems of a PCI modem by two. If you don't have two ISA slots, use GOOD PCI modems. U.S. Robotics makes a hybrid hardware/PCI modem that seems to be pretty good.)
- Windows 98 or 95: (If you have Windows 95 you will need to have software to accomplish bonding of the stream. Hopefully, the modems you get will have the software already.)
- Two telephone lines: (If you order a second phone line, DON'T tell them that it's for your computer. Telephone companies like to charge more for this.)
- Call Locl.Net: We'll enable Multi-Link for you.
