These instructions are designed to guide you while installing Internet Explorer on your Windows 3.1 computer. In these examples, a person named Bud Wilbur is used to illustrate how the various data fields are filled in. Be sure to use your own name, username, e-mail address and password when filling in the actual data. When your account is activated with Locl.Net, you will be provided with a username and password. Your "e-mail" name is simply your username with an @ symbol followed by locl.net. (ie. username@locl.net) Let's look at Bud's information for example. Bud Wilbur calls Locl.Net and activates his account. He chooses the username; bwilbur (can be up to 10 characters, with first having to be a letter).

username: bwilbur (notice that this is all lower case with no spaces)
password: d7Kmg4sX (notice upper and lower case letters and numbers)
e-mail name: bwilbur@locl.net (notice this will be your username
followed by @locl.net and is all lower case with no spaces.

**Before you begin the installation, shut down any other programs you have running on your computer, especially any communications programs using your modem.
**NOTE: Please contact Locl.Net for your username and password
before starting installation if you do not already have them.
